But my greatest win came three weeks after my biggest tournament score, when I stepped away from the tables in Las Vegas and into my first retreat in Costa Rica. I experienced yoga, meditation, waterfalls, music, the jungle, and a community of people pouring into their health. And I found a version of myself the grind had buried.
Now I help high performers do the same: let loose, restore their health, reconnect with their purpose, and feel alive again.

Why Costa Rica?
Costa Rica is lush, tropical, peaceful, and calm. Jungle and Pacific instead of carpet and fluorescent lights found in a casino. Warm water waves. Organic food grown down the road. A safe and welcoming country. It’s the best place I’ve found for a reset, especially when it starts to get cold back home.
Do I need yoga or surfing experience?
No. Most people who come have little or none. Everything is taught from the ground up and adapted to whoever is in the room.
Is this going to be woo-woo?
No. This is a grounded event focused on you having an incredible time.
What does a day look like?
Every day is a little different, but this is the shape of it. We’ll start most days with a mix of yoga, breathwork, and meditation, then breakfast. Late morning is the group excursion: waterfall adventures, group hike, or the farmer’s market. Lunch, then time to relax in the creek. Afternoons bring sound journeys or a sunset surf, followed by dinner and an evening activity. Nothing is packed too tight.
Will there be alcohol?
No, but there will be fresh coconut water and organic fruit smoothies. Thank me later.
Will there be poker strategy discussions?
No, this event is designed for you to take a break from the grind, although guests are welcome to discuss strategy with each other if they feel called. Guests are also welcome to discuss strategy or career-related questions with Beau during the downtime.
Can I come alone?
Yes, and it’s encouraged. Couples and friends are also welcome, and can room together.
Can I get a private room?
Yes. Rooms range from private eco-luxury suites with en-suite bathrooms to comfortable shared spaces, all air-conditioned. We’ll help you pick on the call. See all the rooms.
How do I get there?
Fly into San José (SJO). Direct flights run from most major US cities. Everything is handled from there. We’ll have a private shuttle take you to the retreat center.
Is there wifi? Can I still work or play?
Yes, there’s wifi. And you’ll have plenty of downtime to relax in a hammock, enjoy the creek on the property, or be online.
What happens after I apply?
The application takes a few minutes and leads straight to booking a call with Beau. On the call you’ll walk through the fit, the rooms, the details, and the investment. If it’s a yes on both sides, you’ll get everything you need to lock in your spot and start planning January.
